The first-ever ASCAP Hip-Hop Icon Award was presented by Snoop Dogg — longtime friend and collaborator of Dre. Grammy Award winner DJ Kid Capri provided music. Attendees included top names in the music and entertainment industry like Muni Long, Murda Beatz, and Blu June of Nova Wav.
